Doom-scrolling the apocalypse, fear gripping all, I retreat into a world filled with methodically stitching hand-painted paper quills to beautiful ribbons. The ribbons connote so many moments-Maypole celebrations, rending of funeral rosettes, calling to mind little girls, and the feminine mystique.
